Welcome to Brisbane

Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland and the third largest city in Australia after Sydney and Melbourne is a lively city situated along the Brisbane River. The City River, as it is also known, is an iconic part of Brisbane that runs through the city and connects the inner city. The river is home to world-class cafes, coffee houses, bars, pubs, eateries and nightclubs. The free CityCat ferries are a great way to explore the city and the waterfront suburbs of Brisbane.

Brisbane offers an impressive market scene with different markets located across the city throughout the week, including popular markets such as Brisbane City Markets or the West End Market on weekends. The city also has rooftop bars with incredible views, featuring unique experiences and often with live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Brisbane is famous for its outstanding cafes that offer great atmospheres and serve delicious food, including Andonis Cafe, The New Black, Goodness Gracious, Hunter & Scout and more. Brisbane is also home to breweries like the Newstead Brewing Co, a craft beer brewery and pub in the booming suburb of Newstead.

Brisbane’s surrounding area has much to offer, with exciting places to explore, such as Redcliffe, Tamborine Mountain, Moreton Island, Sunshine Coast, Montville, Maleny and the Gold Coast. With over 2100 parks across Brisbane, there are plenty of green spaces to enjoy, including the Botanic Gardens and South Bank Parklands with Streets Beach and the Boat Pool, a man-made beach and pool in the middle of the city. Just north of Brisbane is Australia Zoo, one of the country’s largest zoos with plenty of wildlife.

We absolutely adored the apartment; it had everything - very well thought out. Couldn't have asked for a better place to return to after a long day at work (we booked the apartment for a business trip).
