In line with our Balance Value, we try our best to create a flexible working environment for all team members. In most circumstances, we allow flexible working hours and the option to work from home up to 2 days per week. By having flexible working arrangements in place, allows for more productivity and reduced travel, which is better for the environment and boosts employee engagement and happiness, which are all very important aspects for us at Urban Rest. 

We like to promote team bonding and social activities across the teams throughout the year. We have regular office drinks, quarterly engagements and holiday parties. We love to see the teams engaging in a social setting and getting to know a little more about each other outside of work. We are always trying to create an amazing, culturally diverse group, and by holding these events permits people to interact with other team members they may not necessarily work closely with and get to know them on a deeper level. We can then overall encapsulate a fun, friendly and cohesive workplace for all. 

Giving back to the Community is very important to us as a company, we have been working with a few different charities over the last few years and love being able to assist where we can. We have partnered with different charities and local organisations over the years to best support our local areas and give what we can. All staff members are given volunteer days to be encouraged to give back to their local community, whether that be helping out at events, raising money or looking after our more vulnerable. 

As an Australian-made company, we have properties across most of our major cities and continue to expand that offering every day. One of our most recent and very exciting achievements was having the wonderful opportunity to open up internationally. We are now also operating in Dublin, Ireland and London, UK, with many other locations near and far on the horizon. As we pursue our international dream, this will also give our staff the opportunity to work across the world and explore new places, fancy a move to London?

Our employee's wellbeing is one of our top priorities. It is very important to us that our staff are in a good space and feeling their best. We are all human, and we know that we can't help some of those ups and downs that life throws at us. At Urban Rest, we offer Mental Health days to alleviate some of those day-to-day life pressures, along with all standard leave such as Parental & Adoption leave, Family & Domestic Violence leave and Compassionate leave. Providing these to staff leaves a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
